Why Foster?
Fostering is a temporary—but critical—role. Dogs may arrive because they are too young, recovering from surgery, or simply require socialization before adoption. As a foster parent, you offer a safe, loving environment until the dog is matched with their forever home. Because each dog’s timeline is unique, there is no set end date—some fosters last a few weeks, others several months. Your compassion, patience, and flexibility allow each foster dog to thrive
What We Ask of You
Love & Routine: Provide daily meals, regular exercise, socialization, and a calm environment. Consistent routines help foster dogs build trust and confidence.
Socialization & Training: Practice basic cues, expose your foster to new people and environments, and reinforce positive behaviors. Every success—sit, down, successful potty break—brings them one step closer to adoption.
Active Promotion: You know your foster best! We rely on your photos, videos, and stories to showcase their personality on our website and social media. Sharing your foster’s journey increases their chances of finding the perfect family.
Attend Meet‑and‑Greets: When your foster is ready, help us schedule them for adoption events or one‑on‑one meetups with potential adopters. Your firsthand insights—favorite games, little quirks—help adopters envision life with that dog.
Communication & Reporting: Keep us informed about any medical or behavioral concerns, as well as happy milestones. Immediate reporting of injuries or worrisome behavior ensures your foster gets prompt care; celebrating milestones shows them off in the best light.
What We Provide
When you say “yes” to fostering, we make sure you have everything you need—so you can focus on bonding with your foster:
Premium Food & Treats: Age‑appropriate kibble, wet food (if needed), and healthy treats.
Comfortable Bedding & Toys: Soft blankets, chew toys, and interactive puzzles to keep your foster entertained and stress‑free.
Full Veterinary Care: Vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, heartworm and flea prevention, microchipping, and any emergency or specialized medical treatments are covered.
Training Resources & Support: Guidance on basic commands (sit, stay, leave it), potty‑training tips, and behavior troubleshooting whenever challenges arise.
Dedicated Foster Coordinator: A single point of contact who checks in regularly, answers questions, and celebrates milestones with you.
